After doing an Explorer 8.8 swap and M5R1 manual trans swap, my speedometer no longer works. The tach DOES work. I checked all fuses and both speed sensors are new. What else can it be?

I had one front ABS sensor out for a long time, but the speedo still worked, If both front ABS sensors went out, would the speedo still read?

Speed sensor that goes into trans... check the plug, sensor itself and the gear inside. A single small bolt holds a little fork like bracket, then you just pull it out. Abs sensors have nothing to do with the speedometer on your ranger

Already ohmed it out. Its good.

Both sensors are there. The odometer slowly moved over time. Literally one mile over a period of a month. Could this be a problem in the gauge cluster?

New cluster, same problem. Checked for continuity from the ECU connection, to the VSS connection, and there is continuity. I then tried to ohm it out and got Open Load. The VSS sensor ohm reading was within spec, and the wiring has continuity, so what is the deal?
