1995 Ranger Rear Diff Oil Question

if it fails, it wont be due to the gear oil, i promise you that :icon_thumby:

a 31-spline 8.8 is miles ahead of a 7.5 in the strength department. they use them in fullsize trucks, and mustang guys push amazing amounts of power through them (500+ HP, easy). its a good diff, it shouldnt give you any problems.

so beating the hell out of it should be ok for a while. it is my daily driver and i do punish it in up north michigan

i dont think you could break that axle with a 2.3 and 27" tires if you really, really tried to.

LMAO! yea i mean anything is possible. But now my truck might be less bouncy, i hit a tree last year and apparently it bent my axle? i just thought the vibration was cuz she's a beast! apparently it was very noticable when you watch it drive...i never noticed it

bent axles happen. the 8.8 axles are considerably thicker than the 7.5...so you should have a harder time bending it :icon_thumby:

well lets hope so...trees here i come...
