1994 mazda b3000 SAS w/leafs

if its dead flat it wont be bad, i did account for the disconnected ends though.

it will have pretty decent bump steer even dead flat, but imo will be easily managable.

a crossover will eliminate any of those temporary issues, so a moot point really...give er a whirl and let us know

yeah i wasen't sure if you had taken it into consideration. an as much of a pain that bumpsteer is. "If" i was worried about driveability an comfort i probley would have left it stock and there would be no fun it that. altho that said I appreciate the imput either way. there will be somethings i dont notice or realize and the constructive critism will help avoid costly head aches down the road.

Nice work on the tail gate.

did you Mig it or Tig it ????

Robert

Thanks, Mig w/C02. im still not 100% happy with it so i'll be doing a few more hours work on it but all in all was a great investment for the $75 and 4 hours of actual work it took. im sure both the stick an mig are hiding in some of the pictures i took if ya look hard enough.

i am speaking from experience, several fullsize bronco/150 ttb to sas swaps we temped up the steering just like your doing. with very mixed results. radius arms and coils were a trainwreck unless dead flat, leafs were pretty managable.

and i am definitely only trying to help. everything else pretty much the way i do it myself:D

Alright been a while since my last update mainly because i keep forgeting to bring the camera so heres some cell phone pics.

i know alot of people were wondering about ground clearence issues and i dont find it that bad. doesnt hang below the springs. might be a problem for hardcore rock rigs but, for a rig that see's mainly mud, water, swamp and trails it should be fine.

i saved the factory lines and wiring from a parts truck so i can use them to extend my fuel lines/wiring an keep everything looking as factory as possible.

i also like to blame Gwaii for causing me to redo my transfer case mounts. everytime i see him do something with nothing it makes me whana do things that much better.

How are you going to mount your rear leaf springs??? there is no hole????

Robert

I butchered them for the eye for the front springs. and the plan was to use the ones out of my daily driver when the time comes to steal its engine, trans and body but now I can see myself just doing the chevy spring swap.

I want the frame to be as close to finished as possible so i can switch everything over in under a week. minimizing the downtime. seening as its too cold to drive either bike or my mustang. plus none of them would like the snow very much.

this is looking strong! bout to hit the SAS project myself...estimated time you spent on the front SAS?? doing leafs on mine too

any progress?this is looking like an interesting build....not just the usual stuff.

and sorry bout makin ya redo those t-case brackets:D
