So I just picked up a 1994 ranger 2.3l 2wd manual trans, I've noticed when cold some times it wont go into gear. I haven't checked the fluid yet to make sure someone didn't put gear oil in there. But I want to service the it any how. I know it takes ATF. I also ordered a Shifter Bushing kit, and plan on bleeding the clutch as well. My Question is that had an 08 tacoma 6 speed that had the same problem (i know completely different trans) and I used the Red line MT 90 and it shifted better then ever. Has anyone tried the redline D4 ATF? On the Redline Website when I input my ranger it recommends this new D4 ATF for the manual trans. Just seeing if anyone has tried this and has some miles on that fluid.

Also Read some people are running Engine oil 5w30 with good results. just want my trans to shift easy and not damage the sycros or gears
