I ripped the stud off my clear corner lens today as well. AND got to use the winch multiple times. I realize now why everyone has them. I pulled everyone out in our group today except one person.

New cab not withstanding, the crease in the roof is going to keep the door from ever sealing up right. Built to use or not I'm pretty sure you won't want that gaping hole letting rodents and rain run in.
