My son recently bought a 1993 Ranger with a 2.3l and 5 speed stick. It has a miss when cold that sometimes goes away when warmed up. At times the miss stays and is intermintent when driving. We started it and I had him pull plug wires off the coil packs one at a time (his nick name is sparky for a reason). One of the plug wires on the front coil pack did not spark. This is for the front cylinder and the plug wire goes to the left or drivers side plug. The other three wires on that pack had good spark at the pack. Is it possible for one hole on a coil pack to go bad? Thanks

The wires were replaced recently. It has no spark at the coil end of the wire. Three of the coil connections throw a sprak to the wire when it is removed and one does not. I was not sure if one of the coil holes could go bad and the others are ok or not.
