Hey Guys...I am new here and hoping someone can help me out. I am pretty mechanically challenged :( Anyway I recently bought this truck and the 4x4 will not engage. It is a push button "on the fly" When I push the button I can hear a slight "clicking" sound coming from the rear, and at this time the interior lights flicker? I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction. Thks!!

well...start with all the usual e-case troubleshooting. Check shift motor, connectors, uh...there's a couple things. i'm sure someone who's fixed an e-case problem can chime in...

its proubly your hubs... get the warn manual converson kit ......... i did that to mine and it works 100 %

You say the interior lights dim when you hear the clicking? That sounds like an electical issue.

Do the indicator lights come on when you shift at all?

Thanks Guys...I fixed it. I got underneath and gently tapped the shift motor with a rubber mallet....must have knocked some corrosion loose...cuz it now works
