If this pans out to be what I hope it is, I’m going to stag it for my daughter‘s first vehicle. 1993 ffr, 2.3, manual, 2wd, no rust, 81k on the odometer.

Nice looking little truck, that would be a good one for a teenager. I feel like that might be a 3.0 engine though - square coil on top rules out both 4.0 and 2.3 since those had coil packs. Nothing wrong with that, I'd rather have a 3.0 in a super cab truck. I'm not sure you could even get a 4 cylinder in that cab style.

Awesome, shran. Thanx for the info. The seller said it was a 4 banger. I havent looked at it yet, but I'm happy to know it's a v6 even if it's a lil one.

Yeah, I'd say 3L too... The intake went to the passenger side not forward on the Lima's. I know they made 4 cylinders like that just not in 4x4... my '97 is extended cab 4 cylinder. The 2.3L is livable with the manual and 4.10's but any other ratio and it would likely be rough unless it had smaller tires...

That version of the 3.0 was almost as widely used and reliable as the 2.3.

Definitely looks like a 3.0l.

Somebody clue me in on what “ffr” is, please.

Freedom Fighter Ranger?
Oh, wait. I just figured it out.

I can hear her friends now; "what's than metal rod thingy in the floor do??"

I looked at the truck, n it has rust on the passengers cab corner. I passed on it. Fwiw, the engine was a 3’oh. Idk why the owner listed it as a four banger.

How much were they asking for it out of curiosity?
