1993 5 speed into an 84

i wanna put a 5 speed into my 84 ranger with a tk4 manual. will this year work with my clutch? do i need to modify my cross member? driveshaft? will my speedo work?

unsure what engine are we talking about and what tranny are you going to use? m50d or what? is the trk 2 or 4wd, you cant put a 2wd into a 4wd w/o converting to 2wd. you cant put a 4wd into a 2wd w/o installing a transfer and dif driveshaft, and you may have other issues. 2.3 trannys only replace 2.3 trannys as 3.0s replace 3.0s, no other options and 2.8 2.9 and 4.0 interchange. just pay attn to design and placement of the sensors, check the tranny id/swap tutorials for some basic info, then revert back here if you have any questions particularly about vss placement.

sorry its an m50d i believe, its from a 2.3 as is mine, and 2wd as is mine. i really want a 5 speed. i feel weird only shifting to 4th. plus i want the better gas mileage. please HELP ME
