I have a 1993 Ranger XLT, F.I. 3.0L V6, 5 speed OD. If I install headers w/dual exhaust and open up the intake with a modified air filtration system, will I need to make any modifications to the 'computer'?

If so, what are my best options?

Thanks in advance for your expertise :3gears:

How picky and knowledgable are your emission inspectors? Exhaust reconfigurations are technically a nono.

Emission legal headers are a good idea.

South Carolina no longer has vehicle emission inspections. Wouldn't be a problem in that area. I do like the idea of emission legal headers. If I go that route, will I need to do any remapping on the computer?

I don't know what an EGR is so I don't know if my 93 is setup with one or not  I am rethinking the idea of headers though. I know what you mean about getting tired of the 'noise'. As for the cats, I'm keeping them on. I like the idea of the Flow 40, afterall, what I'm really looking for is a good sound.

Thanks for the great info!
