I bought some wheels from a guy, mostly for the tires which are brand new.

Was hoping to just slide them right on but it looks like they will not fit. Wont slide all the way onto the studs.

My old wheels are a little under 3 inches for the hole in the middle of the wheel.

These new ones are about 2.5 inches on the hole in the middle of the wheel.

I have rims from my truck but would have rather not payed to mount these onto them.

Hoping I did not buy the wrong tires =/

the measurement is p205/75R14

My old tires are p225/75R14

Are these tires too thin to fit onto these rims?

Or does that matter?

(the first 3 digit number is width right?)

I've had the same problem, Ford decided to change the centre hole diameter when they played with hub sizes.

Spacers might work, but you can also get the centre milled out to the 3" dia. I did a set of steelies on a metal lathe, had to spend a lot of time putting on the big chuck though. Also had a set of alloys on a milling machine... it was much faster and I paid the guy $70.
