Thanks for the part #, and I'll post up pic's of the manifold after i pick it up Sat. RB
I,d like to see a pic of that propane intake
Looks like a CA-55 carb, a VFF-30 lock-off, and either a Cobra or Type-J (Nolff's knockoff) regulator. If you need to replace or rebuild any of them, use genuine Impco parts.
If you have any questions, ask away. I fix this stuff for a living.
I work with that stuff too, I'm not too sure on the power that 55 will support, the only engine we use one of those on is a 1.6L that only runs to 3000rpm, I'd look into running a CA100 at least, a 125 would flow a little more air with a similar footprint, I'd have to look up how much that NJ vaporizer will support also (I have a book, I'll try to look it up tomorrow). At work we run up to a 4.3L to 3000rpm with the CA100 mixer, so it should be usable size.
Snoranger is right, that hose on propane is under vacuum, but only a very slight amount (I think it's only up to 4" of water column if I remember right). To find that hose, try a forklift shop, they probably have a spool and would sell you some, if you can't get ahold of any, send me an email and I'll see what I can do...
