1989 FORD RANGER 5.0 SWAP LIKE NEW

Ford's Coyote engine has double overhead cams(DOHC) making it quite wide, 28" vs 5.0l OHV which was 19" wide
So tight squeeze in Ranger engine bay, which barely fit the OHV at 19"

"hemi", does Dodge still make engines?
I though they got them from Amazon now.....................you know, delivered

Well I got a friend who’s gonna sell me the block with no heads. Then I’m gonna build it up from there. Any recommendations on what transmission I should put in? I’m currently auto I would swap to manual but would rather keep it auto

10R80.

Ron, I think this is your first one

🖕🏿

Was feeling left out :)

Now I am one of the chosen few on your "list"

I prefer Dodge trucks over Chevy/GMC trucks but like Ford trucks the best

That Dodge Demon was one heck of a car, sends the Mustang Shelby and Corvettes down to Soccer Mom status, lol

@miller1 I would strongly suggest that you send your contact information to the seller via personal message and remove it from the open forum. That info can be data mined and used to help hack your identity.

Alternatively, I could just use it to harass him, because that is the kind of thing I do to people.

I won't though, because I only do it to people I know.

I am interested in your 89 ford ranger can you please email me your phone number ...

You just told everyone with an internet connection your first and last name, phone number, email, year of birth, and where you live.

Not that I would know what to do with that info, but I'm sure someone else would.

Never mind the fact that the OP hasn't been on this forum for a year and a half.

You could send him a birthday card.
