Howdy,

First timer here. Working on an Engine Swap and having trouble with wiring.

Factory Ranger had 2.9 V6 Automatic transmission and electronic transfer case.

Now I'm running a C223 4cyl. Isuzu Diesel and Isuzu 5 speed.

Have wiring connected so that engine will start and stop with ignition switch.

Have isolated the nuetral wire that must be grounded to switch between 4L and 4H.

Problem is that I can not get the Transfer case to switch between 4H and 2H.

Anyone know what wire I need to ground or give positive voltage or what two wires to connect so the computer thinks the truck is in Drive? As best I can tell from the factory instructions the truck will shift from 2H to 4H while driving at normal speeds.

Any help here is greatly aprecciated.

Help from Factory 89 4x4

Howdy,

I was hoping that someone with a factory ranger 2.9V6, Auto Transmission and electric 4x4 could check a couple of things for me.

If you are willing, could you pull the connector off the neutral start switch and using a multimeter get some readings?

Check which pins(colored wires) have continuity with the truck in:
Park
Reverse
Neutral
Drive

Also check the wiring connector for what voltage is one each colored wire.

Thanks so much if you can help me out.
