2.3L ('83-'97) 1988 XLT Carb Swap Questions

Hey everyone wanted to bump this with a few questions I have instead of putting it in my update thread.

Currently I’m working through systems. Have the front off replacing the water pump and belts this weekend.

With the brake system since they are power brakes, where can I pull vacuum from without having the upper intake?

the filter does have a bung on the back but I am not sure if that would work since it’s technically always open air?

is there another way to get vacuum? I tried to find a bung for the lower intake where the iat sensor went but I have had no luck. It’s an m18.5 thread but it tapers and there is no way to get a regular threaded nipple in that spot.

Another question. There are two lines going to the block one in front and one in back under the intake. What are those for? Can/should I block them off, or link them together out of the way?

Edit:

took some pictures of the line

looks to be one line not two.

Found another post on the forums they state it is an intake coolant line for warming air and can be capped off so that fixes that issue. I got a straight on the heater hose to cap the tee of the other end as well.

Now I just need to figure out vacuum.
