Hello, I got this tachometer from a 1988 4 cylinder ranger and i have a 6 cylinder ranger. Its reading a bit higher than normal i was wondering if there is a wiring diagram for this so i can put the right resistor in it. thanks

have you researched this? On the larger trucks there was a terminal on the tach you grounded for a six or ungrounded for a v8. Not sure about the ranger tachs though. They would be 4 or 6 cyl.

yes i have done a bit of research on this nothing really is coming up for this exact tac but there is this un used slot at the top left of the circuit board as seen in the photo im going to try and ground it with the other side of the connector

Here's a nice post on the subject.

if any one is doing this just rip the guts out of a 91 tach all you have to do is thread the post were it mounts and adjust the potentiometers on the side or if doing a v8 swap super simple may have to cut a die down to get the middle. ground out the pin were it says v8 should be works like a charm
