1988 Ford Bronco $2000???

In Nebraska nobody will care about the tires.

It has front lockouts (looks like a stock D28) and a 4wd lever, if it’s a 2wd it is going above and beyond to look like a 4wd.

2wd BII’s are scarce to the point people don’t know they exist around here.

Are you a nebraska native? Also he just offered 1800 (still hasnt shown proof for parts or wreck history) i said 1200 🤔

Or is this a lost cause and should i just wall away?

I lived in Omaha for a couple years but I have mostly lived across the river, about an hour southeast of Omaha.

I think if you are comfortable spending $1200 on it after what we have told you here, and you are aware that you may be in for a frustrating experience troubleshooting weird issues that come up, maybe it's worth buying.

What is your mechanical skill level?

I'm not opposed to buying vehicles like this but they have to be cheap and your $1200 number is at the very top end of what I'd pay for this one.

Agreed.

I’d pay $1200 for it, but I’d expect to go over everything on the truck. Id spend a good amount of time making everything right before I put it on the road.
But don’t take my advice... I put a SOHC in a 95 Explorer and built my own own harness to run it off the OHV computer, while trying my best to make it look factory.

Douchebags will try to lure people in with a big lifted truck and not tell u that it doesn't have a title until after u paid them. U can't do much without the title unless u want mud truck that I can't get plates for. Does he know the history of the donor engine? 2 neglected/abused vehicles don't make one decent vehicle. I'd be asking a lot of questions. He won't give u the money back if u don't like it after a week.

You said you were new to cars. DONT BUY THIS IF YOU ARE A HIGH SCHOOLER UNLESS YOUR PARENTS ARE PAYING AND YOU HAVE ANOTHER CAR. I bought my 88 Ranger as my second car and a 16 year old and it was in 10x better condition than this thing and I'm working two jobs while a Junior in high school and playing football just to be able to afford to keep my truck on the road and have some money left over.

Not all engines is goes vroom.

Title or no the license plates it is wearing only came out like 2 years ago.

Make sure it has a title obviously.

Don't expect it to be perfect. And expect it to be weird to work on compared to a stock truck.

Damn you guys got a real way of rippin stuff apart.

2k is a good price for anything thats that solid and goes down the road. If you think youre gonna score a "perfect" BII for less then 5k youre on somethin good. Cause even used and pretty abused ones are getting 2500-3k.

Just because its not worth it to you doesnt mean that its not truely worth it.

A new ranger is valued over 30k and its not worth 10 to me.

Wait you mean I could sell my 88 EB B2 for $5k LOL. Mine has a remanufactured engine and rebuilt transmission, and is otherwise stock, even the A/C has been serviced and converted. Slowly working on getting it repainted.

To answer the OP...The trouble is its 30+ years old, it has the wrong engine in it and would need completely gone through and all that mess of a wiring harness cleaned up. It looks to me like someone's toy that they hacked together and after several attempts to get it running properly gave up on it. That ECU needs to be mounted somewhere else, the heat from the engine bay will quickly cook that poor thing LOL.

I just sold my non running 90 EB for 1000 in an hour here in Vegas. Had a little front end damage but over all a clean b2.
