1985 Ranger 2.8 starter issues

Hi. I have a 1985 4wd v6 ranger. It's been in my family for 30yrs. Always been good till starter I replaced 4 in one month. They last a week No visible damage. I'm now putting a new flywheel and clutch in it. Do you all think this will correct my starter issues.

Ohhh. And a 1995 tailgate. Will fit a 1985. No problem

Yeah, that should work. My buddy's old pickup actually had a chipped flywheel ring gear, and it ended up grinding down the starter.
