1985 B2 5 spd Shift lever needed

Got the truck up and running perfect after the Duraspark conversion (took me like 4 months)... Twice around the block, the little plastic ball on the bottom of the shift lever and plastic inside the rounded top broke into pieces. What can I replace the stock junk with? why did they use plastic?? help, pleeezzzze! want to go 4X4!

1st of all, congrats on the Duraspark! Best mod ever for the 2.8...

Why did they use plastic, who knows???

I may possibly have at least a shifter with good plastic, I think mine came off of an '84 with a TK5 trans. On the other piece, are you talking about the plastic piece that the plastic ball works back & forth in?
