Looking good...

I like the ranger pulling the ranger!

well i havnt really had many bites on it so i might have it for a while yet. im just on my way out to take it off the engine and install the edlebrock pump.

ts6034, i had to pull it with the ranger because well, thats about all i had lol and it works good under the load. pulled it bout 45 miles on the highway doing about 72

didnt get much done today, as i had other things to do as well, but i pulled the electric off, and its for sale, so if anyone is looking for one hit me up. got the edlebrock pump on and lined up my alt bracket

well just got home from the shop. started some engine wiring tonight after work. plan on firing it up this weekend:yahoo:

-very nice build. the only thing I would do different if i were to do one is use a LWB truck. just speaking from experience, a swb is scary in the dry, really in the rain. a V8 swb in the dry/rain is death defying.....:icon_surprised:...lol

Right but a SWB means less weight and more weight transfer. I removed the powertrain from a SWB and swapped it into an Ex cab short bed. It was wayy slower. I weighed the trucks and the ex cab was 400lbs heavier.

i thought about using a different donor, but i had this one on hand and already have a dd, so i figured if looked like it was gonna be a wet day, i could leave this on the garage. not to worried about the traction problems involved with a swb

-agree with u bothe gentlemen, i was just saying if it was me building one. that was just me stating what ive experience from 13 years of driving a regular cab long bed vs. 5 years of a regular cab shortbed. wow, how i miss the handling of the long bed. it was just so much more stable and predictable to me. but regardless, i like a good looking ranger, which this is and everybody has their preferences. i was just stating what mine would be. we are all here for the common good...rangers. not bashing you though...excellent truck!:icon_thumby:

Thanks shorangerbird, i understand your posistion on the differences wheelbase makes, and i totally agree that the longer wb rangers are more stable. i was just stating my reasoning for using this donor, and wasnt disagreeing with what you said. Thanks for your feedback man.

this confused me but this made me figure it out. agreed, longer wheelbase is nice but i think SB REG cab would be more fun cause its smal and easy to manuever. ie: pull curves sideways at 65mph haha ( i can do curves right sideways at 35 with my stock 2-9 imagine what kinda trouble you could get into with a v8 haha) trucks lookin great BTW keep the pics flowing

well after a long weekend of failure with starters and a solenoid, today on lunch i finally got the clickety clickety of dead battery lol but its an improvement on the sparking i was getting with the old stuff
