1984 rollalong rear "dually" axel swap

Here is my recently acquired 84 RolllaLong. I'm working on swapping the body to a 93-97 4x4 4.0. Id like to keep a wider axel without using this setup. Primarily because they rims are 14 and i think they would wear out wheel bearing. I was considering a full width axel in the back but I'm open to suggestions if anyone has one. Thanks.

I would look at an axel from a full size 1/5 ton or 3/4 ton.

F-150s ran 8.8” with 5x5” on R15s.
