1984 bronco ii manual trans help!!!!

My 84 bronco ii has the tk5 5speed transmission. The shifter was wore out when bought and had alot of play but could find all gears, the other day I went to put it in reverse and the bottom of the shifter popped out, took the boot off unscrewed the 4 bolts removed the shifter and put it back in but now i only have 1-4?? Its like 5th and reverse arent there? Need help

If I recall reading correctly somewhere there were roll pins that held the shift rods that would break off and cause these problems. Someone with some better knowledge should soon see this and have much more information to help.
