1977 Ford "Ranger" on marketplace

The stupidity of people on facebook amaze me... it is free text not a dropdown and they take a closeup of the nameplate and still call it a "ranger"

Market place has some weird quirks… sometimes it will not let you list something with the title you want. It will force you to select the closest thing to what you want to list. So you just accept it and allow FB to tell you what your title is and you put the right thing I the description.

Yeah, I doubt "Courier" is an option, they are a pretty obscure model.

I got excited thinking it was a fullsize.

Couriers were rust prone turds with fuel pump failures, timing chain rub strip problems and often warped heads and blown head gaskets. They don't deserve to park near a Ranger,much less be called Rangers.
We quickly devised a fast head gasket test when we sold those things. (1) open the hood- they tilt forward, (2) remove radiator cap, (3) get in, roll up the window, and start the engine. If the coolant erupts in a geyser and covers the windshield, the head gasket is blown. "Roll up the window" was added after the first time when coolant came in the window.

while stationed on Okinawa in the 70s it was common to see those hauling so much that you couldn't see the vehicle.
they are tough lil' runts for sure.

Yeah i know they are fairly common. I mean i own one lol.

But i still like seeing them. Hell i like seeing any dentside.
