Got a great deal on some nice Lincoln Aviator wheels over the weekend. They are wheels only without tires.

Got home and test fit one on the front. It fit over the 4wd hub and bolted. Spins freelly and doesnt seem to hit anything. Only thing I will have to modify and massage is the center cap to clear the hub.

Now I have 2 questions

1) Looking online I see that the Ranger is 15X7 with a 12mm offset? Is that correct? Also looking online I find the Aviator is 17X7.5 with a 44m offset. The diff does not seem right as the wheels seemed to mount fine and appears to be as flush as the stock Ranger wheels

2) Tire-wise, what can I can run on the 17s with a stock 4wd ride height? Research seems to be pointing me to a 265/65R17

Bump.

Any ideas what I need to get these to work? Right now, with a 265/70R17 (not the tire I am going with) the tire is up against the upper control arm. What are everyones thoughts on spacers?

.

im not sure on the tire size but make sure to get a quality spacer if thats the route you go. as long as you dont beat on the truck it will be fine with spacers, just keep an eye on wheel bearings. depending on the size of spacer you may need to repack/replace wheel bearings a little sooner

What is a good quality spacer brand? I've seen a few on eBay. How thick of a spacer is too much? I don't really want to create additional wear in other areas. The truck is basically a daily driver
