They made the dash bigger in '95 to make airbags fit, that's one of the reasons I like the second gens is they aren't too horribly cramped even though they are... I get in my F350 crew cab and holy cow... :)

Bucket seats and/or tilt wheel options in the 96 will make them feel smaller too vs a bench seat with different a tilt wheel option.

Also, the regular cab might have had a lot to do with it.

Hmm..I also agreed with that user that I like the second gens is they aren't too horribly cramped even though they are... I get in my F350 crew cab and holy cow.i like your comment

:), I've had the F350 for less than a year, but it's huge inside, I've had the Ranger for just shy of 15 years so I'm used to the thing, it's had a heck of a transformation over the years though from a barebones 4x2 to a custom 4x4 turbo locked wheeling rig :)

Both trucks are standard cab.

wow it is even smaller with that stuff? holy crap lol. It was a bench seat with no tilt wheel.

I lost a ton of room putting buckets in my '85. I feel like I have more room being able to tilt my wheel so if you can't adjust that it may make it feel smaller.

My 93 compared to my dad's 96 is the same way. I put 03 seats into mine (black) and that makes my cab feel even bigger.
