dont go quoting me, but i looked at the case in my parts truck and the case in my garage and they "APPEAR" to be the same. im going to go log onto the fmcdealer parts page and see if i can pull up the cases and see if the bearing part numbers are the same. that should let you know

ford lists different bearing OD's for both cases, and the part number is different. so im gona think no but if the shaft size is the same then maybe?

i have a back half of a case from when i built my doubler sitting on the garage floor at home. Was hoping i could get def answer before i got home on wether i was SOL or not

I bet if the 1350 back half won't work i could make a 1354E back case work in it place.......they seem to be the same cases just the manual isn't finished machine for the e-shift worm gear part of it.

Yes the back half of a 1350 will work on a 1354. If it's manual for manual then your good to go.

Awesome....

Yeah i do not recommend taking the rear out put off and then reinstalling it without the medal washer. Pretty sure thats how that broke.

damn i do not have a back half of a case like i thought i did......but i know where two 1350's are.

yep 1350 case attached with no issues....all good to go

I'm gonna catch hell for the stupid question, but whats stopping me from throwing a 1350M backhalf on my 1354E? I just got a 1354M that I'll be swapping in, but a good spare never hurt....

I believe that the front of the case needs machining to accept the linkage (if it doesn't have it). But I don't have a 1354 laying around to compare yet. Usually the M's back cases don't have the machining for the electric stuff, so I doubt the E cases are machined for the manual inputs. I could be wrong though.

no your right,

also the internal linkage is different, on the ecases your missing the rod that would protrude throught the front case for the lever to hook to.

Ok, sounds good....just a brain fart I had, as the back of the M case has the spot machined for the electric shift I wasn't sure if it could work the other way and I wasn't about to go lie under the truck and figure it out in -35* weather!
