I know there are several tech articles about this in the library. But, I can’t find a place that says what years and motors have a direct replacement 130 amp and which need modified. If someone could point me I the right direction I would appreciate it. Plus I’m not sure what 130 amp to get I know I seen it somewhere.
Thanks

Any explorer from 95-2000 will be a direct bolt on with no modifications. I have a 130 amp alternator from a 97 explorer on my 94 3.0 ranger and it went right on with no modifications.
I'm pretty sure that's V6 Explorers specifically. Unless I'm losing my mind, the alternator on my 5.0 is completely different from the 130 amp that was on my V6 before the swap.
