1-Ton of fun

You've got it man. Of what's left the only thing that's 100% necessary is mounting the 4 points IMO.

Bored at work today, brought in a small project to keep me busy, but I already finished it. Needed to make room for the 351 in the engine bay....

So you deleted the A/C portion of the heater box?? Is that what we're looking at? What did you use to cover the hole? Just curious because a V8 swap is in my future as well. Taking notes as I watch and learn from you guys. ;)

Sheet metal....

If you can find a non-a/c box it should bolt right up in place of the a/c box. I just didn't have time to find one and this didn't cost me anything to do.

as far as the 4 points, I am still waiting on them to show up in the mail :(

Got my power steering leak fixed, pinion guard installed, trans cooler and trans cooler fan installed and hooked up. Headlights wired in. Still waiting for my seat belts to come in though.

I did buy another ranger today lol.

Picked up a 93 4x4 std cab 3.0L 5spd 1354M. Body is really solid. Needs a clutch

Nice score with the 1354m.

So hows the list coming, just waiting on the belts? Weather's supposed to be awesome this weekend.

I need to

1. Finish the cage-its done enough for the trip
2. Install P/S pump
3. Receive and install trans cooler
4. Repack wheel bearings and replace all 4 ball joints
5. Install pinion guard
6. Build spare driveshafts only had enough to build a front spare
7. Receive and mount my 4 point belts :bawling:
8. Clock my winch lever so I can turn it to free spool
9. Paint the cage when done
10. wire in elec cooling fan
11. install coolant temp gauge

Got some done tonight
.

Truck worked AWESOME...

only issues...

the new "extra duty" reman pump that I installed on Monday, apparently when it was reman'd they had to fix the body of the pump and brazed it. It developed a pin hole leak that was spray straight onto the exhaust manifold. So it got removed and we welded the hole over. Also I would randomly slip my serp belt off now and then. I also destroyed my rear driveshaft, and blew the ujoint for the front shaft at the tcase. Both were fixed at camp and was able to wheel the rest of the weekend.

The truck got worked HARD, made alot of climbs I used to think I had no business even trying. And if I haven't already said it 40" LTB's KICK ASS

I have a few vids of some 4 wheel burn outs on some ledges and lots of other vids I will upload later.

I'll vouch for this. He took me for a ride, and it gave me a whole new perspective on wheeling. I'll be sure to think back to this weekend if I EVER think I'm beating on my truck :icon_rofl:.

The LTB's work. Period. And if they don't the first time, they will after they start smokin from what I saw.

I was in amazement at some of the shit you guys were climbing. Truly unbelievable.
