just wondering if a set of 08 ranger tails would bolt up to my 94, i know one is a 2 bulb set up and one is 3 but will they physically fit?

Yes, the '93+ Ranger tail lights are the same as far as mounting goes.

couldent you also just cut the harness and get a new one with a two bulb set up and splice the turn signal into a bulb that has two wires in it (for example one from a 2000+ ranger)

No it isn't that easy.

There is a couple write ups on here about converting from the 3 bulb to the 2 bulb.

So what you're saying is the Gen. 3 93-97, will fit 98-08s? - Aside from the 93-99s being a 3-bulb and 00+ being 2 bulb of course!

I just bought some aftermarket tails for a 01-05 for my 96 to try and make them fit, Although I might be getting a 99 flare side bed now, so I was worried that they wouldn't fit

Yes, that is what I am saying. The Aftermarket step side lights are different though.

The bedside of a Ranger hasn't change since '93.

jviss,

How r u do'n w/this ?

The wiring is easily fixed.

Let me know.

ltr,

Added: So i thought, I am in the process of doing a 2 to 3 light conversion without success, afraid of the missing brake signal in the OEM wiring causing havoc with other functions; checking it out.
