06 mirror swap (No drilling)

Does anybody who has done this swap experience the glass slowly vibrate out of place? I have to adjust them every few days or so and its kinda annoying, is there anyway to fix this?

I got mine off of ebay and have had no problems. But I believe they are actual ford mirrors. Mine actually require a good bit of force to adjust

Darn, I got them off eBay and they are pretty easy to move. Oh well, just checking.

mine are chinese. since they are power they dont move that easy by vibration. but the driver side one vibrates a bit

I did this swap to a ranger for a guy and he loved the upgrade. Know hes got himself a 02 Sport Trac and wants to do that same upgrade, does anyone know if that is possible? I cant seem to find the answer.

old thread but no...

the sport tracs are the same as the explorer, and the triangle part of the mirror is different on the explorers(was going to go that route first on my 2000)....... so they are not interchange/direct bolt on.

with that said i have seen dodge flip out mirrors install on ford OBS diesels so anything is possible with a little fabrication.

I wanted to pop in and say thanks for the guide! I swapped out the flag mirrors on my '93 and the larger mirrors makes a huge difference.

I took a few pictures of the process including a rough before/after shot for anybody that's curious about the change: https://goo.gl/photos/wKT62iNjkPfgvrt17

I did a similar mod back when I first bought my 2004 but I replaced my stock mirrors with the power mirrors and wired in the switch.

This retro-fit worked great on my '96 B3000. Thanks for the info!

Its amazing how well I can see around the truck now, these style mirrors are great :)

I did the swap with this method as well. Much better than the drilling method. Even got the fancy ones with a gloss black cap, and hooked up the electronics too so its all power!:

How did you hook up the power? Did you have to modify any of the wiring?

Can you send the pictures to me they won't show
