'06-'08 Side Mirror Conversion

Just one question, why are ya'll going for the electronic ones? Just curious because the Manual ones are cheaper than the electronics ones.

i didnt know they made manual ones that style i found the electric ones for my year on ebay for $30

yeah it was $30 a piece nevermind lol
ill probably go with the manuals know that i know they have them thanks

I would go with the Power ones, but I don't know if they will be hard to properly adjust. My friend has an 06 Ranger with the manual Edge Mirrors. They are actually nice and are not that hard to adjust. The glass is tight, but not too tight.

the best bet would be the manual mirrors i would think cause there made for adjusting with your hand

whereas i would think if you pushed to hard on the automatic ones you would break the mechanisms

then they would slide around(cause there not made to push on)

I used the electric ones only because I got them in a package deal.. I bought everything from someone to do a Ranger front-end conversion (I have a Mazda) and the deal included doors too.. and they were equipped with power everything. So as I hate the flag style ones, because they're small and ugly, I putted the others on. I'll probably wire them later...

I actually brought this up a while back and I was told that the mirrors would be floppy as hell. So I stayed away from this Mod. Tell me how it goes so I can try it. I don't have electronic mirrors, so I was eyeing the EDGE mirrors
If you follow the how-to I wrote up, they wont be floppy at all. They are as solid as the stock mirrors.

Yeah, I'll probably stick with the round manual ones. The big squared ones look funny on 3rd Gen Rangers.

FYI, I've found the Rear view manual mirrors for 98-2000 for 20.95 at Certifit. If you live close to one, you can avoid shipping and get a pair for 42 bucks plus tax. I would assume the Manual mirrors will fit a 95 since the power ones that are listed on every other webpage lists them as 95-2000.

Power Mirrors are extra 5 bucks for each. So far, the best deal I've found.

If you have a lift and bigger tires they look good, if it's stock it does look funny. Which is weird since the tailgate, bed and door panels are virtually the exact same on '93-current rangers.

Even if the truck is lifted and has big tires, they look funny. It's true, they look better if the truck was lifted with bigger tires, but it still doesn't seem right. I guess it is the Front Lights and the grill.

My truck is not lifted (I wish it was, but no $ to do it). It sits on stock 14 inch rims (ouch). I have temped into leveling the truck, but again, I don't want to switch out the shocks and re-align the truck. It's a lot of money and effort.
