05 Ranger XLT Question

Alright, I recently bought a 2005 Ford Ranger XLT, it has three letters on the bed that say CSX, not SXT, does anybody know what these three letters mean? I am sure it is just a package or some type but I cant find it anywhere and figured that somebody on here would know.

where did you buy the truck from. could have it been owned by a company prior to this, like csx railroad back on the east coast.

no, there are other rangers in my area and in other areas that say it also, it was put on there by the factory and it does not say STX it says CSX. It says Ranger above it then below it are the letters CSX.

I'm guessing it's a dealer-added stripe package since you said there are others in your area that have it. Around here there are many Rangers with dealer-added stripes that say "SST".

I dont believe so because I have seen it other places. Nobody has ever seen one of these before? It is the XLT package.

My neighbor has an 03 ranger xlt and it reads CSX on the upper rear sections of the rear fenders, right where my trucks read 4x4 off-road.

Like I said two years ago, it is a dealer-added stripe package. Often it's a regional thing. Adds a little bling to the truck, the dealer pays Trimline or whoever $100 and charges the buyer $250.
