I need some info on putting a D44 in a newer model Ranger. I can't seem to find any information on steering, such as getting rid of that rack & pinion.... If you have any links, comments, pictures or ANYTHING you are very welcome to post it. Thanks.

Talk to Littlebigfoot. He has an 03 and did alot of the research that you will have to do.

The ford steering box was used in everything from rangers up to F250s. They are literally everywhere. the other option is a toyota steering box. I dont know much about them though.
