Im looking at trading my 04 ranger ext cab for an 04 F150 crewcab. What problems have you guys had with them? I've read about plugs blowing out of the engine, has that been addressed?

that was addressed in late 03 on the 5.4...however, they have problems with the spark plugs breaking off when you try to change them. the 04 and 05s had some small issues....window regulators come to mind..the window would just randomly fall down into the door when the regulator broke. ive heard some issues with the rear ends but its hit and miss. maybe see if you could pull up the service history for the truck and that way you can get an idea on the problems the truck has/had and make the call from there.

i had an 06 and never had any issues with it. my friend has an 06 fx4 since new and hasnt had any issues either.
