03 FX4 Axle

I don't have a Level II, but I know I have a 4.10 8.8 in the back but I'm wondering if it has a Limited Slip back there too. I cant read the tag very well to see if there's an LS on it. Does anybody know? I know the II's have the Torsen but I'm wondering if I have one at all period. Thanks.

My guess is that it does not have a limited slip. There would be an L between the 4 & 10. This link will help explain.

i'm not sure either but this --> http://www.therangerstation.com/tech_library/Axles.html <--says that it should have the torsen limited slip (at the bottom, last chart). doesn't specify between lvl 2 or not.

Ok well I found the answer at least on my truck. I do have a LS as for a Torsen LS I'm not so sure but FX4's do have a 4L10 8.8 in the rear.

A burnout can be a good way to check... wink wink...

Have a look at the axle tubes. Torsen equipped diff's don't neck down near the spring perch due to the larger 31 spline axle shafts and axle bearings.
