Im helping my buddy work on his 01' ranger 4x4 edge, its got the sohc 4.0 with an auto trans. He was wheelin the other day in the mud and it died on him but it started right back up but with a check engine light and it bogged down when he floored it. We scanned it and got a code for the intake air temp sensor, we cleaned it and cleared the code. We took it for a drive and the check engine light never came on but still had no power when he floored it and it bogged down except for one time it revved to 4500rpm but nothing happened. Im thinking something with the transmission? Any Ideas?
