00 Ranger Front End Conversion

I checked mine I didn't really see any different. Mileage did go down but the 4.0 devolped a problem cracked cyl head between the valves on cyl#4. My fuel mileage increase came from engine swap V6 to V8. Stock 01 Mountaineeer V8 engine cruised 80 mph still got 18 mpg

A lot of people with 98-early 00 Rangers went the other way because the PVH system proved to be troublesome and unreliable.
Ford's own testing revealed that a permanently locked front end with synthetic lube in the axle resulted in a loss of 0.3 mpg versus an unlocked front end.
