Tried the AFE intake on the 2011 again because I'm bored and waiting on Charles at Magnum Powers to finish working on my junk.

Results are hilariously bad.

Apparently the AFE intake produces "23% more powah" by changing the MAF housing size (larger housing) tricking the computer into adding more fuel. Butt dyno says less power, but what do I know.

If you have a tuner and wideband like I do, it may be worth putting on. It may not. I'm not going to bother re tuning the truck for it because I'm lazy.

The AFE intake also severely raises IAT, so if you're into that sort thing it's great for that as well.

I used two fernco couplings and 10” of white 4” pvc to connect my intake to the stock air box and MAF.

I think it’s got like 40k miles on it.

I cut up another junkyard air box for a MAF housing a while back. Probably just order an Amazon aluminum pipe kit to connect it all up because shiny.

I am a sucker for shiny.

When I first turbo swapped my '90 I used shiny drier hose to go between the VAM and turbo so it was kinda shiny, I think I wrapped it in duct tape though...

My Choptop has had 3” ABS with a couple Fernco couplings for an intake for years. I didn’t have a good 4.0 intake tube and couldn’t find a good one in the junkyard so I made something work

That reminds me, One time I used PVC for my radiator hoses because I used a non-stock rad with the ends in the wrong places. It worked just fine.

i replaced my drum brake hardware and noticed that my yr2000 9in drum brakes are a lil different than the drum brakes in all the videos. mine did not have this little clip on them, holding the ebrake mechanism to one of the shoes, is that norma?

Bah. PEX for water. I’ve used CPVC. PEX is better.

Yes... 10 inch brakes use that horseshoe clip.

9 inch... the shoes and park brake lever are different. The lever has a "hook" that goes through a slot in the shoe..
