87 Ranger XLT ext cab, 2.9 v6, auto. $750
Hunting down a new steering coupler because, the wheel is spinning. The coupler in there now is definitely new but the shaft is about an inch too short to make up. I'm sure electrical gremlins abound. PO said it was parked 4+ years ago due to fuel pump issue. It's probably an electrical fault.
If it passes compression check and holds oil pressure, I'll daily drive as commuter while I build a destroyed 4.0 ohv t5 combo. Rev-happy sporty build like the euro Cologne builds in The Capris and Scorpio, etc. Maybe see if I cam import one of the Cosworth 2.9s! Make a proper sport truck. Quick, fun, handling, and balance.
If I get frustrated, I know these early 1st gen Rangers go for about $3k, even for a basket case.
