  1. Camera problem and others.

Thank you. They did a battery load test at the sevice. The report stated it was okay. I suspected the battery because of the display message (ignition) that came up very time I opened the door to get in. So I performed a simple voltage measurement (engine off). 12.5 volts. I did not go any...
  2. Camera problem and others.

2019 Ranger with 30000 miles roughly. Sudden problems. 1. Front camera malfunction. 2. Pre-collision asist not available. I assume becasue of item 1. 3. My display gives me an ignition warning. See attached. 4. Proximity warning chime sounds very different. Items 3 & 4 started maybe a month...
  3. [Resolved} Sync 3 Ranger 2019 will not update

Thanks for the responses. I won't worry about it. [Resolved]
  4. [Resolved} Sync 3 Ranger 2019 will not update

Sync 3 does not find updates. Wireless is on and logged it. Automatic updates is on. When I search for updates, sync 3 looks like it is looking for one, then just stops with no indication that one was found. I started trying to update since I was notified by Ford that one was available. Can I...
  5. Uh Oh.....MPG controversy....

    I can't drive........55
  6. USB ports and Android Auto

Android Auto only works through USB port. Not a critical need. Went on a long trip, needed traffic updates etc. Ranger specs also state the USB ports are smart chargers. But I think they may stop charging when data transfer is detected.
  7. USB ports and Android Auto

Anyone have issues with the USB ports not being able to keep the battery charged while Android Auto is running?
  8. Uh Oh.....MPG controversy....

26.2 mpg from bay area to Tuscon and back. AC running. If you've been on I-10 in Arizona, you know speed limit is 75.
  9. Tire Pressure

Thanks. I understand all that. Hot tires in my experience may only rise 4 PSI not 10. At least not where I live. Just wanted to make sure Ford didn't do something weird. Dealer never responded. Any way, case closed. I adjusted the pressure to where it should be.
  10. Tire Pressure

    35 psi as I expected.
  11. Tire Pressure

Pretty sure this is a stupid question. Happen to look at the Fordpass app. It said the tire pressures were 44 front and 43 rear. So checked the dash. It said the same thing. I then checked with a gauge..same thing. The tires were cold. Truck had been sitting for several hours. Any reason the...
  12. 1986 Ranger, 2.9 liter

Thanks for the replies. I did confirm there is no check engine light. The circuit membrane covers the socket area, so its impossible to put one in. I think I found where the EMW module for the emissions light is supposed to go (above the glove box) as stated by adsm08. Someone must have removed...
  13. 1986 Ranger, 2.9 liter

Any one know exactly where the EMW module is? Tried to get the truck SMOG tested, they won't test because the emission light will not come on. This is in California. Its not the light. I thought it was because I had no continuity through the light socket. It was the socket. I as able to fix...
  14. 2019 Ranger back seat and backrest

I think it only affected Rangers with a production date prior to 1-30.
  15. Show us your 2019-2020 Ford Ranger

Yes 2wd., never been off road so I did not see the point of getting one. I did think about it. I test drove one. Don't remember if it had the off-road package. I liked the ride, was not stiff as I would have expected. By the way, the 2wd sits at the same height as the 4 x 4. Thats why I got the...
