Pics of my rig

You might be able to fit the 10" wheels on the front. It would be tough with the amount of drop that I've got though. I'd end up running a spacer, and then probably rolling the fenders or doing some kind of mini flare. I prefer the staggered look anyway.
As far as the brakes are concerned, they're mustang cobra rotors, calipers, and pads. The pad does not contact the entire rotor surface, becasue it's not big enough. That's just the way ford designed them. The entire pad does make contact with the rotor though, and is moved as far out from the center hub as possible to provide as much braking force as possible.

so, were they just a simple bolt on job?

Not sure if the newer GENs have more space on the front end But 10.5s won't fit on the front of a Second GEN and 9" wheels rub the sway bar if it's turned too sharp but still work great... 10's may fit ok but I wouldn't run them out front... Love the truck Bud!

They require custom billet caliper brackets to mount the cobra caliper to the ranger spindle. Then you have to machine a hub for the cobra rotors to mount to since ranger rotors are basically the hub. You can either modify your factory banjo bolt to work, or just get new lines which is what I did. So, technically, it was a "bolt on" mod once the custom caliper bracket, hub, and lines were made.

oh, ok. little too much work for the blue truck....

Howabout some info on the "Cobra" hood mod?

Did you do it yourself or have somebody else do it?

NICE truck!!!

Thanks! The only thing I didn't do on the hood was the paint. It was a summer project a couple years back. Not overly difficult, just REALLY time consuming.

Sick truck man! I cant believe it took it getting into TOTM for me to find it... Im definitely following its progress from here on out!

I guess I made it sound a little harder than it is. There's a guy on another forum that makes/sells the caliper brackets and hubs, so you just buy the custom stuff from him. Get the cobra parts somewhere, and have some lines made. I did the 4inch front drop and front brakes in a weekend easy.

Awesome! Thanks a lot!

Ahhh....

I was like, "eff that machining...." If my little brother doesn't destroy my truck before i get back, then i might just have to do that. You got a link?

I like the truck man nice job

Thanks Fellas!

No interior or engine bay shots?

Didn't htink it was worth it really. There's not a lot going on in either of them right now. I've tried to keep everything looking pretty stock-ish. The engine looks like a stock 3.0 v6 with a shiny intake tube. The interior has a few basic mods, just to dress things up a bit. It's pretty much a stock gray Ranger interior though. If you really want some, I'll try and get some up some time.

Just saw this and wow that's one dirty ranger right there. Looks amazing. This is another reason why I love Fords.
