Ignition Cylinder Key Lock

is there number code on the door lock cylinder that Ford or a lock smith can use for making a new door lock key, if you buy a Ranger from someone that's lost key for the door

2002 and up can have keys cut off the VIN at the dealership. I don't know about any other way to do it. Locksmith's can usually figure them out though. I am not a lock smith.

Just jimmy the lock for now and get new locks for it later.

This is for a 1990 Ranger that a person sold me, without having a key for the door lock

I was told by someone that there should be a key code number on the door lock's cylinder that a new key can be made from

I haven't taken it apart, yet, to find out
