u gotta see this explorer

I've driven one those before. Found really odd and really rare to be able to drive an Explorer with a 5 speed manual & 4x4 manual. Only happened once out of the countless Explorers I serviced.

a plain basic explorer...
4wd...
with a manual 5spd :headbang: :headbang:

It reminds me of a budfdy of mine who had a clean 1st gen Explorer. He custom ordered it with a 2.3, 5-speed, and a 4x4. and the basic XL trim pack. The dealer looked at him like he had three heads when he did that.

Yes I can.

lol im ashamed to say i can txt, eat and drive stick, with no power steering. but i dont txt and drive anymore did it like 2 or 3 times but only because i was in a tight spot and had to get some info.

but i am against txting and driving but thats mostly because nobody can freaking drive as it is.

nobody can freaking drive as it is.

maybe if america got rid of automatics, in dash DVD players that can surf facebook (WHAT THE #&$@), and drive through EVERYTHING... i'd rather park and walk the 8 feet to the empty counter at mcdonalds than sit in a drive thru for 30 minutes.

My Navajo is a manual, but it's not uncommon to find a manual in a first gen explorer. I will say I was ecstatic when I found this thing, though.

I will agree with most when it is said the 5 speed was fairly common on first gens. I will also say the 5 speed was by far more common with the sports though. Out of all the Explorer's I've seen and driven, I've seen 3 that had 4 doors and a 5 speed. One of those happens to be my 94 :icon_thumby:
