Gt-12

I know, but it seems like it would look right in the GT. IDK.

Boat looks good though, nice and clean, and the motors look really good for their age

i just fixed up the 20h in the fall,i have all the new decals for the 115 but still have to do the tear-down and paint routine on it.that'll happen soon enough.i actually just ordered up some vinyl to re-do the interior upholstery tonight.it'll be blue, black, and white to match the motors.

just what i need....more projects:icon_rofl:.

well,i found a kicker for it.....needs a little paint and polish,but it runs.it's a '78 20 horse,nice match to the 115.traded it for an 80's mariner 15hp-we both came out happy.:yahoo:

here's what the 20 looked like when i got it.sure makes me want to get onto the big'un soon.

so... scince you jacked your own thread i gotta ask whats the hotrod boat going to be? i always thought itd be cool to have the style boat that looks like a fishing boat but had the big block and blower in the back. and the hedders on upside down

it's sorta like that.it's a 15' fiberglass runabout with a 351w (slight mods)to push it around.should go pretty good.

and jacking threads is one of my specialties....may as well jack my own:D

had just enough light left to get some pics...

that's why i get pissy with people that say they can't do something because they don't have a fully equipped shop.

the ranger i built in my driveway.in the rain.froze my butt off.

still did it.

ok,rant over:D

my excuse usually is that i don't have a fully equipped brain...

or i'm lazy, don't have the tools, or it's cold in my garage....

Did you travel to school in the snow & sleet uphill...both ways? Was this also before or after you completely fed your family of 9 while working as a paperboy after school?

Yea, I still get my work done in a driveway or apartment's parking lot. It's just more convenient in a shop with a lift.

"No accessible shop" is an excuse that shows laziness, IMO. If you want to learn about something, you'll find a way.

I know it's nothing compared to the epicness that is gwaii, but I channeled him a bit with my truck. I completely rebuilt my suspension in front of my garage because there was no room for a truck inside it.

if you look closely enough at the pics from when i was building the ranger in the driveway, you may notice the garage in front of it.....that i couldn't get into because it was filled with junk:icon_cheers:.

i just redid the entire suspension in my samurai in front of the garage lol i redid almost everything to get my rager on the road in the same spot. i pretty much only ever used the shop for when i had to do exhaust or radius arm bushings

The only time my 85 has seen a shop was to put the body lift on.
Only time it was ever in a shop.
Trans was put in in the dirt (still with the V6).
4" lift was put in in the dirt.
V6 was pulled with a tree and the 302 was put in with the same tree.
It was painted out side.
I actually like the light better outside.

The 81 F100 is my baby............The 357 was put in it in a nice shop.

The storage unit i'm building the 93 in could best be described as a pile. Its got a roof but no light or power, and i signed a legal document saying i would not store any hazmat in it....

then you'd better not spend too much time in there....might be in contravention:icon_rofl:

sorry:D

:icon_rofl::icon_rofl:

Don't worry, i know the guy that owns the storage facility. We have a verbal agreement. The written agreement is for insurance purposes, he lost a building to a fire a few years back.

I don't store any flamable vapors there and all hazmat has sufficient primary and secondary containment. Spills are immediately contained and cleaned. While i'm there i always have a fire extinguisher handy and when i leave i remove all ignition sources.
