To answer the OP's question, it is possible, but IMO I wouldn't do it...

If you go to a good tire shop, they might not even let you mount that tire onto that rim. My friend tried to get some 31.10.50 mounted on some 15x6" rims, and they straight-up said No at one place, said it has to be 7-9" rim.

A 235-75-r15 calls for a 6-7" rim, with an average measured rim width of 6.5" or so (depends on the tire)... a 10" rim is probably wider than the tire is at any point.
