Speaker sizes in a B2?

I was wondering if anybody know the sizes of speakers in a 89 BII and how many there are, and are they all the same size? I would measure them myself but I am away from my trucks for a few more days now.
thanks

how come when i search up 6x8 speakers on ebay i come up with listings that say 5x7/6x8 speakers

Yeah they will both fit. If you don't mind a suggestion, I've got Pioneer TS-D6802R's in my Ranger and they sound amazing. The difference between 2, 3, and 4 way is how many speakers are on the unit itself. You have the woofer of course for lower frequencies, and then the smaller ones are for mid and/or high range frequencies.

link is broken. and thanks about the tip on the pioneers, whered you get yours from?

i just went on ebay and looked at the very same listing lol. i will look into those man, ill probably check wall mart and see if they have anything any good. im taking the subs out of my stang to put in the b2, now i need to get a deck and some speakers for her and i should be set lol

I believe the '89 BII had 6.5" speakers in the doors and 6x8s in the rear by the passenger seats. Some application guides may tell you it uses 5.25" speakers in the doors because the mounting depth there is fairly shallow and won't allow all 6.5" speakers to fit there. At least this is my experience with my Ranger and the BII should have the same fitment.

Those speakers Shane linked up look like decent speakers. I usually try to stay away from 4 way speakers, I have a set in one of my rides and they sound a little to "bright" (too much volume on the high frequencies) to me.

a GOOD 2 way speaker is all you need...
i went with memphis pr's.. and they sound awesome. i even have streetedge tweeters.
i have about $340 in my mids/highs tho..

if you get a speaker with a decent size magnet for the front, you will have to mod the way they mount a little bit tho. or atleast i did with the memphis speakers.

4 ways have way to much high's.. 2 way speakers and tweeters (if the 2 ways aint enough)

ok well i will measure the front ones anyways when i get back home
this is the deck ill be going with too

my brother had good experience with pioneers, and the red face lights will match my gauge cluster and under-dash lights lol

One thing you may want to consider while looking for a deck is a USB input. The last deck I bought just happened to have it out of coincidence. Now it's all I use. I carry 8GB (thumb drive) of music around with me, instead a bunch of CD's (even in mp3 format). I'm sure anyone else who has USB feels the same about it.

I will buy nothing but Pioneer until they prove to be a bad choice. I used to buy Sony, but I went through a lot of decks with them because of various issues. I really got sick of seeing an error message every time I wanted to listen to a CD, and it they'd skip if I ran over a garden hose. Buy Pioneer!!!

+1 on the USB input, I have a couple head units with USB input and they're awesome!

I've also had fairly good luck with Pioneer, with the exception of all the gawdy features my current one happens to have (too many lights and visual stimulation for me!). I've also had Alpines, Clarions, Eclipse, and Kenwoods, far in the past. Most of them have been fairly good. I think Clarion and Kenwood may have slipped a little in the past as far as quality but of what I've seen more recently, it looks like they have gotten better.

that head unit is pretty nice for the price.. TriStateAuto sales A LOT of them here... people like the cheap cd players that work good lol

i have the avh3200bt from pioneer and love it. costs a little more, no cd player (they only break from off roading, stupid moving parts, never used it anyways), usb, aux input, radio, and does video.. all while having bluetooth. but it's a $240 radio...

but i would probably step up to the 2200 or so.. it has usb, which is really cool honestly..

USB is the way to go. My Pioneer HU came with the port on the back and a cable, which is really slick so you don't have a cord hanging out of the front of your HU all the time.

I used to use a Zune thru the aux input but the thumb drive beats it all to heck.

I don't really like the newer Pioneer HU that only have the big button, it is hard to navigate thru to adjust settings. I don't do it often enough to remember how, I hate it but it seems everything is going that way.
