I just got some parts from my local dealer and crap they were expensive! Is there a good online place to get parts?

Depends on what you are looking for, but generally speaking, If Jim doesn't sell it (parts button, top right corner) Summit Racing, or National Wheel and Tire are popular places.

There are some things that you have no choice, and have to go through Ford for though.

What about the parts you can only get from the dealer?

Rock Auto has a lot of Motorcraft stuff. Have you tried them out?

EDIT: www.rockauto.com

+1, also try Tousley Ford Parts Department of White Bear Lake, MN: http://www.trademotion.com/PARTLOCATOR/INDEX.CFM?SITEID=214771 Prices seem fairly reasonable, you can order online and they ship directly to you.

And also this: http://www.fordparts.com/ it's the official Ford Parts page, prices might be higher/lower than your local dealer but at least you don't have to call them or go to see them, you can do it right at your computer.

So I did a quick price check on a headlight switch.
Ford Parts.com $45
LMC $25
RockAuto $8-$23 and the $23 one is a Motorcraft part just like at FordParts.com.

Me like RockAuto!

+1, rockauto is awesome. im actually ordering a tensioner pulley from there tomorrow. i usually go to carquest theyve always treated me right, but they want 39.95 for it and rock auto has it for 15.XX.

I had an oil change, brake switch recall and 60,000 mile maintenance performed at Tousley - they do extremely nice work and have a very nice shop setup. Parts people were extremely knowledgeable and helpful - I aggravated about half their staff while I was waiting for the maintenance to be completed.

I have ordered genuine Ford parts from http://www.silverstatefordparts.com/ and they were less than half the price of my local dealer and were very easy to deal with and helpful. The shipping was fairly reasonable as well.

Awesome, glad to hear you liked them. They are pretty decent at getting it to you in a timely fashion too.
