Most times space junk burns a bright white color or even a bright white amber,the darker orange is usually a fireball or meteor. It just depends on what it's made of,but usually space junk is titanium or aluminum that gets white hot on re entry. Who knows for sure....maybe ET forgot to check the oil in his ufo?
