Installing the Superlift kit

Ok so anybody else ever installed the Superlift for the IFS suspension. Im a little worried about doing it, but I dont have $900 dollars to spend on labor to get it done.

Also i didnt by the front drive shaft for it and im concerned about that as well, but im so broke i just dont have the funds to sink in the truck anymore. The guy at 4wheel parts who i bought the Superlift from told me that i might not even need the upgraded from drive shaft what do yall think?

I put the one on my 94 6 inch kit not a big deal if you have basic hand tools and a grinder for the rivots on the front suspension. Took me a weekend basically to do.

No problem it was right around $1,400 and some change way to expensive for my liking, but that was the best price i could find. I actual found that price on autodealer.com and then went to 4wheel parts and told them the price and they matched it.

If you got the 6 inch you need a 4 inch grinder to get all the factory rivots off for the front. I dropped my whole front end down and out of the way. Check out my thread I hope it will help you out.

I got the 4 inch suspension lift nobody makes anything bigger that i could find, but im adding a 3 inch body lift to clear 35's.

Yes it does get old waiting I waited for a few weeks for my lift to come. Then I had a backorder on freakin tires my truck was a hand full for a few months now I love it.

his is IFS, not TTB so idk if he has those rivets to deal with... good luck! get you a build thread started!!!!!!!!!!!! so we can watch and take lost of pics, get a photobucket and post up the pics to. we like to watch RBV's get loved on.

Ok so i know a mechanic who told me today that i dont need the upgraded from drive shaft from superlift. He said that there is 2 or 3 different ways to fix the problem without having to spend a ton of money. One of his ideas had something to do with taking the front driveshaft from a explorer and using it and fabing where it goes into the transfer case. Not real sure what he was talking about, but he said it could be done. The other idea he had which i am not to crazy about was adjusting the front axle and turning the pumpkin back some to help with the bad angle. The other idea was to tilt the front of the transfer case down some so the angle was not so bad. Anyways i have no idea if it will work, but he really believes that it will. Like i have said before im broke and out of money so i will try anything to fix the problem cheap.

ive done a few ifs ranger lifts at work and they are pretty simple. about the same as 88-98 chevy k trucks. just time consuming. get a real torsion bar tool from mac or snap on. dont try to use a c-clamp. ive seen alot of people get hurt using one. take your time and follow the directions and its a breeze. just time consuming
