the slo-vo build thread...

Don't go overboard on the plating. The D44 TTb is a pig in it's ownright. Box the back side of the Passenger beam and as much as you can of the drivers beam. Throw a truss together for the front of the drive beam and that is all you should need, unless your doing a ball joint cut and turn, then plate up where you have cut. also adding a skid under the beam to beef the lower lip will help lots.

Any more plating than that is purely cosmetic and adding un-needed weight.

Any plans for a cut and turn, Jon? Do it, and run 37's. :headbang:

that all i really have planned plating the back side of the passenger and a truss across the front of the driver...

im probably going to end up doing a cut and turn for about 1.5 more lift so i can get it back aligned but i may not have too, ill just have to see what happens when i get a set of tires and see what full bump looks like

if i could keep the lift limited to 2.5 to 3 inches would be great

seems to be a good heigth, im around 3.5 now so a half to an inch down and around a 36ish tire should be good for what i want to do

i guess ive been going light crazy this week:icon_confused: added another set of rock lights up under the bed behind the cab shining outwards

gunna have to go across the river tomorrow night and see how it all works, but in the garage with the lights off it puts out some good light where i need it

JON you dick! did you get my text? hahah

Going to trim out more fender?

just depends, when i do the exo i might just completely ditch the fenders and do some tube work up there...like ive sad before, wont really know until i do it lol

Knowing Jon he'll have another seizure with the sawsall again and wind up cutting the inner fender out as well :icon_rofl: :D

this is running 35's and no cutting of the fenders nor did i have to cut and turn the beams.

That with the 6" Skyjacker brackets. The brackets he has are only 1.5". He might be able to make it work without a Cut and turn if keeping the lift to about 3"

Tucking 35 with full width is going to be fun with a 3" lift. Fiber fenders sure help with clearance. Only issues he may have are at the firewall at full lock and full bump

oh, i thought the CC brackets were 6" as well. My bad brother.

yea i will wait on the C&T until its all mocked up to see what im going to need.

no glass for me, if i have to i will completely ditch the front fenders and work something in with the exo to make it look decent...and if i have to ill tub the fire wall a little if its worth doing

we'll see how it all turns out, now that ive got the little ones room done i can get back into the garage a little more

if i dont end up going to the lake this weekend ill hit the JY and pick up an axle

Jon, I"m going to YPP saturday, and I can give you a hand if you'd like :icon_thumby:
